FAQs

Is MCF only for large international NGO’s?

No, we are open to membership from small to large charities working across the UK or internationally.

Who makes the decisions about what MCF does?

MCF is governed by our Board of Trustees. They direct our work based upon their extensive and unique experiences working in the sector. We also consult with members, partners and stakeholders.

How is MCF governed?

Our Board of Trustees oversees the strategic direction for MCF: they are the guardians of MCF’s purpose and are ultimately accountable for the organisation.

What is the benefit for my small charity?

By joining us you can connect with a network of other Muslim-led charities based in the UK. You will be able to access resources to support your governance, safeguarding or finance as well as training and events.

What is the benefit to large charities?

As a larger charity, you can become involved in high-level discussion that can inform the sector as well as access resources, training and exclusive events.

Do we have to pay for training if we pay membership fees?

As a member, the majority of our training will either be free for you to attend or where we use external facilitators it may be heavily discounted in price.

Our charity only operates locally in our city, should we still join?

Yes! We would love to have you on board. Local, regional or national charities are welcome to join us.
